NZ South Island Photography Workshop:
16th April to 21st April 2026
6 Days / 5 Nights
Travel
All participants are responsible for making their own way to and from the pick-up and drop-off points.
Meals
Breakfast, x5 included - cooked or continental breakfast
Lunch, x1 included
Dinner, x5 included - main / 1 beverage (may include standard wine/beer if available)
Any additional food or beverages may be purchased at the participants expense.
Accommodation
Pricing is based on single accommodation only.
Physical Fitness
This workshop may be taken by anyone in good physical condition, as much daily walking may be involved in this workshop – while carrying your camera equipment.
This trip requires a 'medium' level of fitness as walking along tracks / some irregular terrain is involved.
Once the trip has started and it is necessary for you to sit out a location or leave entirely because it is beyond your physical level, please note that there will be no refunds for any unused portion of the trip.
Medical
You must be in generally good health and it is vital that persons with medical problems make them known to us well before the workshop begins. It is understood that LHTP is not a medical facility and therefore has no expertise or responsibility regarding what medications or inoculations you and your private physician should decide necessary for your safe participation on the workshop. LHTP assumes no liability regarding provision of medical care. Trip members are urged to check their insurance coverage to be sure it is adequate.
Travel Insurance
It is mandatory for you to take out personal Travel Insurance within 14 days of booking your workshop place. This will ensure you are reimbursed for any potential non-refundable airfare and workshop cancellation fees should you have to cancel the trip due to personal illness, family illness or otherwise. LHTP must be provided with your policy number.
Fees
The workshop cost includes the tuition fee, on-workshop transport, and accommodation on the workshop. All other expenses are the responsibility of the participants. Not included are any airfares, airport taxes, transportation to and from the pick-up and drop-off points, or items of a personal nature. Workshop price excludes any insurance coverage for trip cancellation/interruption, travel accident, travel delay, baggage delay or baggage theft (we recommend you obtain coverage for these items), medical or hospitalisation expenses.
To secure your booking, we require a minimum 10% non-refundable deposit of the total workshop cost, alternatively you can choose to pay the full amount. When paying 10% upfront, ongoing instalments are then required. The full amount of the workshop is to be paid prior to 90 days before the commencement of the trip. Regardless of the deposit paid, the remaining balance owing must be paid prior to 90 days before your workshop commencement date. You will be given 14 days to make your payment from the invoice date. If we do not receive your payment within 7 days of the payment due date and no response to our attempts of contact has been made on your behalf, we reserve the right to cancel your place on the workshop and in this case, no refund will be issued.
Refund Policy
If for any reason you need to cancel your participation in a workshop, please notify us at least 90 days before the start of your workshop. At that time, you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 10% of the total workshop cost and the remaining amount will be refunded. If notification of your cancellation is made less than 90 days before the start of the workshop, we will retain the full amount already paid. No cash refunds will be given and no refund of any fees will be made for withdrawal after the workshop begins.
LHTP reserves the right to cancel any workshop with inadequate enrolment 14 days beforehand. In the event that the workshop has to be cancelled due to inadequate enrolment, all fees and deposits paid are refunded in full or transferred to an alternative workshop. No fees will be charged in this situation.
Transfer Policy
If you wish to transfer your booking to another person – please contact us prior to 90 days before the workshop commences. We require the transfer request in writing / email and the transfer fee to be paid before the transfer is implemented – 5% of workshop cost.
This must be paid within 7 days of your transfer request. If we do not receive payment within this time and no response to our attempts of contact has been made on your behalf, we reserve the right to cancel your place on the workshop and in this case, no refund will be issued.
A transfer will only be accepted for the same workshop.
We do not accept transfers within 90 days of the workshop commencing.
Cancelled Trips
We reserve the right to cancel any workshop for any substantial reason, including too few participants or logistical problems such as strikes, wars, acts of God, or any other circumstances, which may make operation of the workshop inadvisable. In case of a workshop cancellation, all photography workshop payments, which were received, will be promptly refunded. This refund will be the limit of LHTP liability. LHTP is not responsible for any expenses or damages incurred by photography workshop members as a consequence of any cancellation, such as costs expended in preparing for the trip (including non-refundable or penalty-carrying airline tickets), special clothing, lost income, or any other trip-related losses or expenses.
Limitation of Liability of LHTP
This section defines our responsibility with respect to this and all of our photography workshops:
Payment of your reservation deposit(s) represents your acceptance of all terms and conditions outlined here or anywhere on the LHTP website.
LHTP shall have no liability for any damages, losses, or expenses of whatever cause or nature, including those resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, detention, annoyance, weather, quarantines, strikes, civil disturbance, theft or criminal activity of any kind, government regulations, etc., over which it has no control.
Without limiting the above paragraph, LHTP shall have no responsibility for additional expenses due to unforeseen delays caused by weather, theft or criminal activity of any kind, political disputes, acts of terrorism, strikes, sickness, failure of flights or other transportation to arrive or depart on time, and other causes beyond our control. LHTP is not responsible for additional hotel nights not specified in the photography workshop itineraries which may be required en route, prior to or following a trip, caused by airline scheduling or schedule changes, or by individual clients' travel arrangements or by other factors. LHTP cannot assume any responsibility for loss or damage to baggage or personal property.
IN NO EVENT SHALL LHTP HAVE ANY LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, HOWEVER CHARACTERISED.
LHTP reserves the right to substitute hotels, conference facilities, and to alter the itinerary when deemed necessary or advisable. The right is also reserved to cancel any photography workshop prior to departure upon the refund of all payments received, which shall release LHTP from further liability. LHTP is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by trip members in preparing for the trip (i.e. non-refundable advance-purchase air tickets, equipment, etc.)
LHTP reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any member of any trip should such person's actions impede the operation of the trip or the rights or welfare or enjoyment of other members of the trip, and it is agreed that no refunds will be given in such circumstances.
LHTP reserves the right to take photographic or film records of any of our trips and participants, and may use any such records for promotional and/or commercial purposes, including social media.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Terms on our Site. Your continued use of the Products after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
